"**Beware:** We purchased a policy in the first week of February, two weeks before its start date, and paid for it using our credit card. The next day, we canceled the policy because we found better rates. We were informed that we would not receive our refund until the first week of March, even though the policy hadn’t started yet. In our experience with other companies in similar situations, refunds are typically processed within three to five business days. We requested that the refund be credited back to our credit card, as that was the payment method we used. However, they informed us that they couldn’t do that and would instead send a check. I asked the office agent if I could speak to the billing department, but he replied, “No one will talk to you about this.” The way it was said felt very disrespectful and lacked any empathy for my situation. I expressed concern about who would cover the interest on my credit card during this waiting period, and he simply replied, “There’s nothing we can do; it’s State Farm’s policy.” As a result, we disputed the charge with our credit card company. Don't you think State Farm should improve their policy regarding refunds, especially for a policy that hasn’t even started yet?"

"Simple factor, quoted everything the same at Allstate, I went from $300 to $150. Here is a company who will rip you off and take your money. Selling me a bunch of extra that I didn’t need. I asked for the car to be on liability and I called 2 weeks later and he had told me he didn’t get it changed I guess he forgot. That was fine because he said he’ll refund me for it since but never received that prorated. State Farm has taken money from my family, parents and other relatives. This is not the place, beware they will sell you the highest coverage and will say that the lowest coverage will still only be a few days less… $100-$150 to cover a $4000 car on liability is a joke.. period. During cancellation I had only used 1/3 of the coverage for that month and my prorate was pennys to a dollar. They will steal your money, don’t care an insurance just because your whole family has been with them forever. Quote yourself with other companies online and really see what’s cheaper, it’s so easy online these days to do it yourself."
